Ethics Charter
The commitments LYF Mail makes in maintaining Ebb, and the standard we hold ourselves to.
1. Bodily Autonomy Comes First
Information about your body belongs to you. Ebb is designed so that you never need to hand it over to use the tool.
2. We Collect As Little As Possible
Data we do not collect cannot be leaked, sold, subpoenaed or misused. Where a feature can work on your device, it does.
3. No Advertising, No Profiling
Ebb contains no ad networks and no behavioural profiling. We will not introduce them.
4. Consent Is Explicit And Reversible
Sharing with a partner is opt-in, specific and revocable. Ebb must never be used to monitor anyone without their knowledge.
5. Honesty About Limits
Ebb is not a medical device or contraception. We say what our server can see, we disclose third-party touchpoints, and we correct our own mistakes publicly.
6. Inclusive By Default
Cycles are experienced by women, trans men, non-binary people and others. We use neutral, respectful language and welcome feedback on how to do better.
7. Verifiable
Our source code is published so the community can inspect and challenge our claims. See Open Source.
8. Your Exit Is Always Open
You can export and delete your data at any time. We will never lock your records behind a paywall or an account.
